The Sunday Currently

It’s the first Sunday of February 2023. The weather is still cold, and it’s windy tonight. I just finished clearing my kitchen after a light dinner of salad. I told myself I should have heavy lunches and light dinners, thus, the salad. It was only simple: fresh lettuce, red onion, cherry tomatoes, freshly-squeezed lemon drizzled with olive oil, some pepper, and grana padano cheese. It was supposed to be parmesan, but I took the wrong packet in the grocery, hehe ๐Ÿ™‚ The vegetables were all bought from the vegetables and fruits stand at the corner of my street.

As I was trying to post the photo above, I got frustrated with Instagram because it tried to mess up the photo size. I would have wanted to add more photos in that post, but it kept on messing around and destroying the photos, so I had to re-post it again. It’s my only way to share more photos with you because I don’t have enough storage here in my WordPress to upload all the photos that I want.

The weekend is somewhat relaxed. I’m preparing for my trip to Paris this week, and hopefully, it won’t get canceled. I’m still reeling from the disappointment and trauma of my canceled trip to Strasbourg last Christmas. I was looking forward to it. Then, the train company here in France decided to conduct a strike during the Christmas weekend, affecting thousands of holiday travelers, especially those who just wanted to go home to their families during that season. On the other hand, I was stuck here in the south of France and spent Christmas alone instead. This week, some transport systems are planning for strikes again, and I hope my trip won’t get affected.

I’m looking forward to meeting my best friend whom I haven’t seen for eight years!

Reading.  A romance novel book. Because duh, of course. I love reading them ๐Ÿ˜€

Writing. None at the moment.

Listening. The quiet howl of strong winds on my apartment’s balcony.

Smelling. Coffee. My mini-office is set up with a coffee machine on the side ๐Ÿ˜€

Wishing. Right now, just not to be affected by any of those strikes.

Hoping. To get through my French lessons tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜€ haha!

Wearing.ย pyjamas ๐Ÿ˜›

Loving. The thought of going to bed and reading my book after writing this post.

Needing. Water. More water. I had a minor accident at the gym because of dehydration. I fell from the pool when I had the cramps, and someone from the training team helped me up. It’s still embarrassing, and it took me 3 months before I went back to the gym.

Feeling. Lazy.
